SPES (Latin for 'hope') is a center for children, young people and family, based in Mostar. It has been operating since 2012 under the wing of Caritas. The center was founded in order to provide various educational projects to help young people and children, as well as education for parents and families. Besides multifunctional accommodation situated in the centre of town and professional staff, Spes is a great place where young people can get information about topics of interest, hang out with their peers and, above all, enrich their life experience.A pelican represents the visual identity of the Center. The pelican is used to symbolize a father’s love; therefore it is not surprising it has become symbol in Christian iconography.

One of the most famous ecclesiastical songs contains lyrics referring to the pelican. In that song a pelican is the symbol of Jesus. The logo is colored orange and violet in order to inspire children and young people, and has an attractive look.
As with every bird, a pelican symbolizes freedom, movement and community. A specially designed stylized garden enriches the visual identity. Shift created a playful, friendly and accessible logo, and it is targeted primarily at children, parents and educators. The new logo can be used as symbol of organization, as well as a graphic symbol adaptable to various communication materials and media.
